Andrea’s Diversity Statement

As a professional communicator who pays attention to detail, I undeniably am held to a high standard when engaging and representing the diverse population existing in our world today. Diversity and inclusion can be replaced by the word, empathy. Diversity is being allowed to be who you are. I uphold these standards to you: I will show empathy and support to those who may be the same or appear different from me. I will remain humble and always show you respect when you are talking. I will always listen to you no matter who you are. I will represent you in your best light. I will maintain your privacy and respect your opinions and values. I will ensure your voice is heard regardless of your mental and physical abilities, educational background, color of your skin, how you project your voice, and irrespective of your upbringing. I will encourage others to listen to your perspective, even if it’s something they don’t want to accept. I will not permit the option to accept you for who you are. If there is anyone who can make you feel comfortable, I promise to be that person. I will stand up in the face of adversity and bullying. Upholding your morals and what you care about will be top priority. You will never feel like an outsider if I am an insider in your life. You will be accepted and loved, always.

 

Andrea’s Code of Ethics

I will not use a slogan to make you feel valued. I will hold myself accountable to the following set of guidelines:

  • I will uphold the dignity of every individual I interact with and show devotion to their expertise.
  • My primary concern will always be to represent and maintain the image of my client in the most positive, consistent manner.
  • I will uphold mutually beneficial relationships between my clients and their publics.
  • I will always maintain privacy and keep information confidential unless ordered in a court of law.
  • I will always strive for personal growth and continued education for both myself and my clients.
  • Health, safety, and welfare of the individuals I represent will be at the forefront of my job.
